A few years ago, at the Merkel Jagd- und Sportwaffen manufacturer in Suhl, the cradle of hunting weapons, the wish was born to provide the hunter with equipment and clothing that meet the same high standards of quality and practical application as the hunting weapons themselves do for almost 120 years now. In 2016, this dream is finally becoming reality: we are proud to present to you our first 16 pieces of hunting apparel. We have invested a lot of knowledge and time into every individual product of this series. Most of our pieces of garment are so versatile that they support hunters on 365 days of the year and in all kinds of regions, from the coast to high mountain ranges, to focus their attention and performance on what truly matters: the hunt.
Each product combines advantages of hunting, outdoor, work or tactical clothing of the highest quality, and has been designed together with experts and experienced hunters from all corners of the earth. Merkel GEAR shall set new standards in terms of quality, versatility, performance and longevity. During extensive test phases, every detail is thoroughly tested and improved. Similar to the long product life cycle (PLC) of the Merkel hunting weapons, so also the products of Merkel GEAR shall be used for longer than average.
Contrary to most of our competitors, we do not intend to flood the market with new collections every year, which disappear into oblivion after 2 years again. Together with you, we wish to create classic and specialist pieces, which will not lose style and functionality for years and will accompany even the hunter in the most remote areas of our beautiful earth.
