Merino Longjohn

Features and Technical Specifications

  • 80% merino wool, 20 Polyester
  • 235 g/m²

  • Flatlock-seams (flat seams) to prevent chafing

  • back upper waistband higher for kidney zone protection
  • General cut: tight-fitting, yet soft and stretchy wool fabric adapts to body for perfect fit

Our merino Longjohn (long underpants) is made from the same robust and yet ultra-soft merino wool as the Longsleeve. A material thickness of 235g/m² is significantly more than most other long underpants can offer and therefore provides unequalled insulation and a perfect weight to warmth ratio. We made sure that the leg endings are long enough to keep them from riding up, yet without wrinkling unpleasantly. The back upper waistband is a little higher to keep the kidney zone continuously warm.

A strong, 3 cm wide elastic band forms a thin, tight-fitting waistband. The advantage of this band is that wearing trousers on top of the Merino Longjohn will cause neither squeezing nor chafing and therefore, even during long marches, everything remains where it should be.

Available in well-stocked specialist stores beginning August 2016.
